Description

Original MC4 plug or socket including metal inlay for producing solar cables 4mm² - 6mm²

Solar modules are connected with solar cables. These in turn are connected using MC4 connectors with clear advantages.

  • Firm connection of solar module cable and extension
  • Protection against water, light, cold & heat
  • Contact protection

Usually the metal inlays are crimped with the cable to create a firm connection. Alternatively, the metal piece can also be soldered.

The polarity would also be important, as this is assigned exactly the opposite way with MC4 plugs than at first glance. The square plastic plug is the male plug. The plug with a pin in the middle is the female plug. The cause here is the metal parts and you can see that the metal part of the pin plug is larger than the metal part of the square plastic plug.
