Bidirectional counter

The reference meter is an electricity meter that measures the amount of electricity you receive from the public grid.

However, with solar, you produce electricity and feed it into the grid. For this purpose, the local network operator uses bidirectional meters. This means your energy supplier/network operator is able to bill exactly how much electricity you use

  1. obtained from the public power grid,
  2. How much electricity from your solar system was fed into the public grid

For photovoltaic systems, the electricity fed in is paid for by the grid operator. There is no remuneration for a balcony power plant
