Inverters
An inverter produces an alternating voltage from a direct voltage. When a power consumer is connected to the alternating voltage generated, alternating current is created from direct current. Only alternating current is consumed in the power grid and in households; photovoltaics produce direct current. Here the inverter is essential to convert the direct current generated into alternating current. Inverters with electronic fuses disconnect the photovoltaic system from the grid if malfunctions occur. Inverters are also known as inverters in English. |
