Bidirectional counter
The bidirectional meter is the currently used form of electricity meter. The bidirectional meter measures, on the one hand, how much electricity is fed into the public network and, on the other hand, how much electricity is drawn from the network. A bidirectional meter thus combines the tasks of a feed-in meter and a reference meter. The advantage for the operator is that the own consumption and yield of a solar system can be precisely quantified. When registering for a balcony power plant, the network operator will usually come by and install a bi-directional meter. |
